Track record in helping people
Don and Alan have helped millions of people resolve complaints and problems with their pension and savings in the following areas.
- Personal Pension mis-selling. During 1998-2002, there was a nationwide campaign to identify and compensate people who had been wrongly advised to leave company pension schemes.
- Endowment Mortgage complaints. Between 2002 and 2007, millions of customers who had bought an endowment policy to pay off their mortgage complained as a result of not being told of the risk that the policy would pay off the mortgage.
- Company pension scheme failure. An increasing number of companies went into receivership from 1997 onwards leaving pension funds with insufficient money to pay all the pensions. The pension scheme needed to be wound up. Higham Group changed the way the industry wound-up schemes reducing the time from around 8 years to less than 2 years and reducing the costs by £100s of millions in the process.
